So I have a question...If I ordered a car, all I agreed to pay was the amount written on the order, $35,367. I can refuse all the extra fees then, right? Including documentation fee? If they don't agree, then they can lose the sale, correct? And I get my deposit back.

I asked the dude what the documentary fee includes.

He said "Titling and vehicle prep. such as predelivery inspections, detailing and fueling."

All of this is bunk. It's in the holdback that Toyota pays the dealership. And the profit they make.

I call BS. The second "T" in TT&L is title. It is listed as a seperate charge on the contract. Doc fees arer 98% pure profit for the dealer

$100-$200. Anything over $250 is not acceptable.

IMO...

The PDI should be including in the Destination charge.

TT&L should include all work regarding that.

Loaner cars are a curtousy of Lexus, are they not?

It sure doesn't cost 500 bucks to wash a car, especially since I would probably refuse said wash.

Plain and Simple. No matter what the fee, it's all pure profit to the dealership. Don't let them try and tell you otherwise.

My Lexus dealer did not add any additional fees to my purchase of my 250. Although by the time I got around to signing the papers the saleman and salesmanager realized I had done my pricing homework and I would know if they were trying to pull any hidden fees on me.

I've never seen a single dealership that doesn't have a processing fee of around $100-$200.
