Gas mileage
Hello all, I'm finally posting after reading this forum for a couple of weeks. Can anyone tell me what gas mileage you're getting on your IS(250, 250AWD, 350)? I'm in the market for a car in this class, and after test driving them, it has now come down to the Audi A4 2.0T Quattro and the IS250 or 350. I still have to test drive the AWD IS250 but most dealers here in socal don't have them. I know it says it on the sticker but it's not realistic...thx

IS250 with 750 miles im getting 26mpg with Chevron 91 octain 80% Freeway but traffic all the way, Does that count as Freeway or Street driving?
Dont get Audi This Lexus will hold value more in the long run
Goodluck
My IS350 is getting about 20-21 mpg with about 1,300 mi. on the odo. That's mostly city driving (including in-city freeway driving with traffic) and mostly with the ECT Power setting on. On a recent roadtrip, mostly with ECT Power off, my car was reporting a 23.9 mpg average.
Between decent gas mileage and slow depreciation, I would say the Lexus is the better long-run financial bet. But I'm very biased.

IS250 RWD. So far, with about 1200 miles on the odometer, I am getting an average of 26 mpg on daily driving (about 40% interstate and 60% urban/suburban roads). I usually use the ECT PWR mode, having seen little difference in gas mileage between it and the regular setting.

IS350. Last week, for the first time since owning the car, I spent much of the week commuting to a training center about 50 miles from home, and actually got a tad over 23 mpg for the tank. That was mostly highway, albeit with a few spots with LOTS of traffic. I wonder how well I would have done if I didn't have to pass through Rt. 18/Rt. 287 (near New Brunswick) during morning rush hour?
That's much better than I normally do. My usual commute is under 15 miles, with many short trips lunch time, evenings and weekends. With the shorter trips, I struggle to break 20 MPG.

In the city, I think the key to good mileage is looking ahead and anticipating.

Mom keeps on the gas even though a red light is getting close and she ends up braking at the last second
