Default BWB Tinted and Chromed...

As per request of some CL Members:

Stock 18"s chromed,
20% tint to rear windows,
35% tint to driver and front passenger windows,
Clear bra (yes, it's there).

The car also has been DVD/Nav hacked and LMS Air Intake added. In all, it's pretty much set for now. I'll wait for the LMS Exhaust next...

Sounds great. Not noisy at all -- only during higher RPMs like you said. Better acceleration.

Black interior. I have to drive with the moonroof shade open so cops don't think it's too dark. Oh well...

Yes indeed. A very good looking car. Love the chrome wheels. I did the same thing. Makes the car look pretty sharp IMO. Would love to see yours in person. Maybe some day we'll be at the same place at the same time. Any way, thanks for posting the pics.

Thanks Phillip for the update, Your car is really sharp looking. BRB is almost like a silver blue in those pics, do you find that the color changes from day to night and bright sun to cloudy day?

It might just be the pics, but I agree with the other poster, 65% on the sides? It looks alot darker than that. I thought the lower the % the darker it is. I just thought 65% would be lighter on the sides?

The sides are certainly not 65% tinted, You have made a mistake, 65% tints
are barely even noticeable, the sides look more like 20% or even lower...

I try to describe it to other people as this: direct sunlight = baby blue, dark days = blue>silver, night = silver >blue, similar to BMW's Arctic Blue metallic.

The rear passenger windows are 20%. The driver and front passengers are 35%. I think they really look dark with the profile because you're looking through two tinted windows, not one. And the black interior does not help at all. Is anyone else with black interiors experiencing the same thing? Perhaps it looks darker because of the lighter body color?

If I had to do it again, I'd get something lighter. But since I can't do anything about it now, I have grown to appreciate it. It definately helps when showing DVDs.

I
I'm telling you, its not the way you took the pictures at all, the person who
installed the tint put the wrong tint on. There is no way that is 65%.. just to give you
an idea on what 65% looks like.. Most cars right from the factory have a 70% tint
on the side windows.. Go to the DMV and have them test it, i'll bet u anything, u have 20% all around... The difference between 20% and 35% is huge!, 20% is pretty dark and %35 is like
a smoked appearance.. a window that was 65% tinted, you wouldnt even notice...

I called the tint shop. You're right -- the rears are 20% and the front/passenger are 35%. I got that corrected.

The tint shop didn't put the wrong tint. I actually chose it so. I just wrote down the wrong percentages. Thanks for the clarification!
