Default Amber Light in Speedometer

I just noticed this yesterday, I was wondering if anyone knew what it was. Whenever I hit about 75-77mph and above, an amber light appears in the speedometer. It starts from the "E" by the fuel indicator and wraps all the way around to the "F". As soon as I go below 75mph, it dissapears. As soon as I go back over, it appears and stays there until I drop below 75mph. Anyone know what this is?

Yes, it's a warning light telling you to go read your manual, where it's very clearly explained.

(it's also the over-speed warning indicator, which again, your manual can tell you how to adjust).

Amber warning signal for you to set.

Red warning signal at 100 mph. You can't change this. (So if you ever see this, don't panic )

You can adjust it.......

The tire presure sensor reset button to the left of the steering wheel on the dash....it has the arrows on it. Press the left or right buttons and adjust with the center button. FWIW though, it wioll not allow any setting above 100mph....not that you will be cruising at 100 all the time.

It's always fun reading these posts. I learn so much that it feels like I already own one. I probably don't even need to scan through the manual when I get my car no more. Lol.

Don't have my manual so I can't go and read it, that's why I posted the question here. No need for the sarcasm.

I remember when I first test drove the car the amber light freaked me out until my sales man told me what it was for. I was wondering if there was a way to change the color of the light.

Where do you guys have it set at? Mines at 75 MPH and 4.5K RPM

I don't mind those questions....makes me feel kind of smart like hey, I know that answer. I've seen the amber ring but haven't seen the red yet....still only have 350 miles on it so I'm not pushing it yet ..........and I still haven't read ALL the manuals throughout.

Leaving now to go get the personalized settings done.

I have mine set at 85mph. I do a lot of early morning freeway driving (w/ a Beltronics Pro RX65 ). I cruise about 80mph. Need the warning light so I don't get too crazy. Which is VERY easy to do.
Thx to PhilipMSPT re: red light. I was wondering if it came on at 100mph or 15mph above amber light setting.

he he he... just realized this was my first post (after a couple months of lurking and absorbing). Big thx to all who have contributed.

I have my speed set at 80. At 100 it turns red. At 110 it starts flashing red.

My tach is set at 5500 rpm.

Why? Sarcasm indicates a higher level of intellect (or low self-esteem, depending on who you want to believe).
