Strange noise
A high pitched whine is occasionally evident -- sounds like a high speed miniature electric motor. Source is in the area of the instrument cluster. The pitch of the whine is directly proportional to engine rpm. The noise is not very loud and is most evident at rpms between idle and 3000. Sounds like an old time alternator interference noise in a radio - back in the days before effective RFI shielding.
Noise is intermittent. When it is present, it begins upon start-up. Will usually disappear within 15 minutes. Noise has appeared even after car has sat for less than an hour.
Dealer suggests I bring it in for them to hear, but the noise is not yet repeatable and consistent to be worth the trip.
Anyone else experience this?

I know exactly what you mean, it's def not the injectors, it sounds more
like , as though you hooked a low budget sound system in your car and it
now needs a "noise filter" to reduce the slight whinning sound the car makes,
that matches the revs, mine does the same thing, it's normal, apparantly..

Problem is intermittent. When it occurs, it comes on after engine start (even when driven recently). Usually goes away after ten to fifteen minutes of driving. Seems to occur about one time in five.
Hmmmmmm !!!!!!!!
