Default Sending Tones/Checking Voicemail w/ Bluetooth

I know the manual makes mention of the ability to send tones using the handsfree bluetooth phone so as to check one's voicemail or dial an extension while driving. I believe this is accomplished by pressing something then speaking the numbers into the mic. Has anyone been able to do this successfully? If so I would really appreciate use a step-by-step rundown of how to do it.

I believe what they are referring to is the ability to enter numbers while on a call. When you are talking to someone, there should be a touch-button on the right side of the screen labeled "0-9" or something similar. Touching this will show a keypad that you can use to enter numbers that will be transferred to your phone. Also underneath the "0-9" there should be a 'transfer call' button, used for call waiting I believe.

For things like commonly used extensions, vmail, etc, it's called speed tones (read the manual).

I haven't actually used them, only read up on the feature. I think you can access them while driving, but not sure about voice.

I did the modification to my NAV so I'm able to dial my voice mail number while driving (I use speed dial), but wouldn't have too.

Once connected to my voice mail, I press the 0-9 graphic button on the upper right hand side of the Nav screen and enter my mailbox number followed by my password.

If you enter your mailbox number or password too fast, you will have problems.
