Angry problems with my HID's need help

I got my HID's about a week ago, and it was working fine for about a day, i have always had my lights set on auto but one night it the driver side headlight was off, the other one was one and the fog lights were oka,
No warning lights came on in the dash it was just off

So i took it back to the place where i got it (JR Electronics) for those of you in miami) and they said that they would fix it, long story short when i went to pick it up they said that it was one of 2 things that either the light wires were hitting some metal which was causing them to short or he told me some story which i dont belive for nothing
He told me that if i have my lights on auto that the alternator doesnt have enough "juice" to light up both lights. to turn them on manually after my car has been on for a couple of seconds
I tried that also and that doesnt work
Now to me that is a load of bull and tomorrow im going to go back and tell him that i need it fixed because that would be nice ticket if a cop wanted to pull me over.
Any suggestions to fix the problem would be great

So basically what i wanted to know was that if anyone has HID's on thier IS350 8000k or any other model, if they are having similar problems, i would need some help asap becuase im going to be going to JR tomorrow morning when i get off of work.

Thank you in advance

He actually is right about waiting till the car is on before turning the HIDs on. The ballast and igniter have a lot of work to do. While the car starts there is a voltage drop(normally from 14-10V). This could cause problems with the ballast.

Sorry, about the advice. I meant that you could kill the ballast by starting the car a lot with the HIDs on.

Do you have stock Hids? If so, then leaving it on auto wont kill the Ballasts(at least on the head lights

It sounds like you might have a bad ballast. When I got mine installed, one of the lights wasn't working so we checked out all of the parts and discovered that we had 1 bad ballast. We replaced the ballast and everything worked fine.

Did your car have stock HIDs in the headlights? If so, then the Headlight ballasts wont have problems with the auto function.

I'd say if someone else installed the aftermarket bulbs... take it back

The ballast is the box that they had to install under the hood that everything plugs into. There should be two of them.
