Default req: before/after spoiler pics

Can anyone who has before and after pics of a spoiler installation post them please?
(especially a profile/side view)

I am trying to decide whether to get my spoiler port installed, order it afterwards and do it myself or skip the spoiler altogether.

thanks in advance

(btw, i tried the search but came up with too many hits. if anyone can point me to an appropriate thread, that would be cool too.)

For some reason, I find that the IS look better without a spoiler. It might just be me.

Check out the Gallery, there a quiet a few shots of IS's with and without spoilers in there. I remember seeing a thread for an installation a while back, I'll see what I can dig up.

IS 250/350 Gallery

EDIT:
Here's an install link

Thanks for the links, JHerb350!

I was wondering if anyone had like an exact before and after shot of their IS side view.

I'd do a poll on which people liked better with or without, but
1) this is a stupid question for a poll
and
2) it only really matters what i think about it anyway.

i got the car with no spoiler but the dealer agreed to install one in a week for free. it looked ok without it, but i think it looks just a bit better with it on. now im glad i got that on.

im not one of those guys who thinks spoilers look better on every car either. car that needs a spoiler-94-98 and 99-04 MUSTANG. car that doesnt need spoiler- RSX. car that really doesnt matter- IS250-350.

I agree. I ordered my car WITHOUT a spoiler. But found out it was at the port and tagged for a spoiler to be installed, I had them put a STOP on it. I caught them in time, and no spoiler was installed. It wouldn't have been the end of the world with the spoiler, but I said I didn't order one, and wasn't going to pay for one. They acted fast.

I'll take my 350 sport without a spoiler if I can get it that way. On the west coast I belive the sport pkg comes with a spoiler. My dealer feels confident they can stop the spoiler install before it arrives at the dealership. I'm way against a spoiler on the IS, I think it takes away from the lines in the back of the car. To each, his own

Odd, just ordered a spoiler to be installed by the dealer (in the next few weeks or so). In my opinion, from the side, a spoiler does not help, do much for the car. But comparing the rear view, a spoiler adds additional lines to an otherwise boxy (square) look. Did not intend to have a spoiler when I ordered the car, but when you see it (car with spoiler) in person it looks much better than pictures..

Getting it done for $370, a little bit more than if it was done by the factory (at the port).

i just bought an IS 350 :-D but it didnt have the spoiler installed. i asked my dealer if they could put one on but she said they usually have installed already if you want one and having the her rder one and then getting instaleld would cost 700 buck BLAH. she said it would be better to buy another one from somewhere else and maybe even getting it installed at the dealership. anyone know where and how much it is for an after market spoiler and how much it is to have lexus put it on for me? she wasn't sure at the time how much it would cost. gah

KuyaPatz- I orderd mine from the Parts Department @ the Dealership. It was around 200 for the prepainted lip spoiler (the deck spoiler is a little big for my taste) and 125 for the labor (sorry, I'm giving you a rough estimate. I cant find the receipt). It was cheaper to add it on after the car arrived vs. adding it to the sales transaction.

*Charlesmsn- I have a before and after pic (a side view) if you want it. But, the photos are too large to post. Let me know if you want me to email them to you.

I agree with this! Unless Lexus comes up with some kind of wing spoiler (with LED lights... like those of the Mazda6 sedan)! I think the current lip spoiler doesn't make the 2IS look any better. Isn't it there to trap dust and dirt that otherwise would flow off the rear of the car?

I think the spoiler, understated as it is, completes the back end. The car looks great without but better with...I think.
