I think that system is ugly. imo the system done in the INGS+ IS looks way better. what a waste of trunk space.

Quote: Yep, I tried to help him out over on that forum. He was a rich kid that wanted the loudest stereo he could fit in the IS. He kept saying he needed that loud of stereo for "street cred". He even bragged about how much his father spent on the car before he got his driver's license. Too bad a fully loaded IS350 was desecrated in the process.
Hahaha, he's from Columbus and wants "Street Cred"? What a douchebag.

Regardless of who it is or what his reputation is... I've seen FAR cleaner and more professional installs done, especially here in SoCal. If he truly had an unlimited budget - it could have (should have) turned out a lot better than it did.

bass heard a mile away = street cred.
true sound reproduction = clean, clear music
i would use old school McIntosh or Tube Driver amps pushing Dynaudio speakers, and single 12 inch JL W6 dual 6 ohm.

That kid is without a doubt one of the worst spoiled brats Ive ever even seen. I cant believe the words coming out of his mouth. Rich arrogant brat who has earned nothing. he will have friendship and relationship issues for the rest of his life if he continues on in this manner.... he's already developed numerous personality defects.

And is his dad on crack buying him an IS350 at 16 years old? He should be in a nice V6 camry, even a buick.... and should be taught the better ways to be humble. Only through being humble and realizing what it means to work yourself up is it possible to build any character

Wow, I must have missed his bad posts. Personally I hate arrogant and conceited kids especially when they get spoiled by their rich parents. I agree that getting an IS350 for a first car when you're 16 is a little bit over the top but it isnt the best that you can get. I saw this one high school in So Cal and they would be driving 7 series, M3, CLK 55 and all. I am sixteen too but as long I keep my grades up (3.8-4,0 gpa), I get to keep my car. Sometimes you have to judge people not from their stereotypes, but from who they really are. No offense but not all parents of sixteen year olds out there are on crack for buying their kid a nice car.

i hear where everyones coming from..the kid is pretty obnoxious and veryyy cocky. i read through a few of the posts you guys put up links to..and damn haha IMO, i think the kid is just way too defensive...if someone makes anyyy remark about his age or his car..he goes on a rant with "bad grammar"

some of us are addicted to AIM..and unfortunately, if im not writing a paper for school...my typing gets reallly relaxed. I'm turnin 19 in a few months...so i can somewhat see why this kid is getting upset. i havn't been flamed yet for my age/IS350 but its because i'm not asking for it.

last comment for the parent thing...my dad and i have talked about cars basically since the day i started speaking. about a month ago we went to the detroit auto show which is over a thousand miles from my home in PA. what i'm getting at is i know what i've been blessed with.
DONT BASH THE TEENAGERS! haha...maybe that kid but he doesnt represent the rest of us!!!

dont want to jack the thread or anything...just curious..how old are some of the posters on this thread?

Folks,

After reading some of the linked posts I appreciate all the comments here. On ClubLexus in general, we shut down cross posts to other forums where there isn't some informational benefit to our members and when they're likely to end up in a flame war or argument somewhere down the road as this one is.

We were all young at one point and made some bad choices (or I assume everyone did, I know I fall into that category ). I've been involved with ClubLexus since 1999, I've observed many new owners that started off a tad immature turn into some of our best forum contributors. Let's give the guy a chance, after all he is a fellow Lexus owner .
