Default My first ding...

Just got my first ding.... I got back to my car and I saw a line of white smeared across my driver's side fender. At first I thought it was something dirty that got onto my car but after I spent 10 minutes getting all that white off I was glad that the white line wasn't permanent. As I walked back I noticed that it was actually a ding.... Judging at how big the white mark was it looked like someone threw their shopping cart at the car but when I got back I didn't see any carts around me... The Ralph's in that plaza was on the opposite end too... so I parked far away from any carts and potential customers...

Bummer, people can be soooo inconsiderate. For around $75, an experienced PDR (paintless dent repair) specialist can work miracles on minor dents and dings.

that sux man! People have no respect for others people property! I normally don't buy add-ons from the dealer, but I decided to buy the "door-ding" pretection. Basically they pay for all "non-paint" door ding repairs. If you never had this done, I can vouch from experience that it actually works! I had four dings repaired on a Accord, and two on my new Jeep (both of which I sold so I could get my is350)

I'll ask my gf first to see if she notices any dings or damage to that area. IF she can see it, I'll try that paintless dent repair since my gf has a hard time noticing damage/dents on my car. Haha.

Along with my new car purchase, I got a one FREE door ding repair coupon valid for the first 90 days, perhaps you got one too?

That sucks man, what color did you get? I don't have any right now, but like the other person said before, its only a matter of time for me. I was lucky though, one day I was planning on driving my 350 to work, but decided to drive my civic. When I get off, I noticed a nice foot long paint scrape along my front bumper!!! Yep, some one decided to back right into my front bumper, and no note. Oh well. Guess it was fate lol. Inconsiderate people I swear.

I got Tungsten Pearl. I tried the Paintless Dent Removal and it worked perfectly! No more dents for now. I polished the dent/ding before and I thought I had removed all the scratches but after the person fixed the dent more scratches appeared since I couldn't "remove them earlier because they were inside the dent" but he buffed them off real fast. I'll be sure to call this guy again when I get more dings in the future. He's pretty cheap considering most places around UC Irvine charge $100+ for the same service ($65 for mine).

That sucks, sorry to hear. The biggest pain in the *** are dings cause no one ever admits to the wrong doing. Plus, you just get so frustrated cause the person must be so inconsiderate let alone no respect. Try the paintless dent repair, they do wonders for a good price. I have actually seen one fix a foot long dent back to near normal condition. Near normal meaning it's barely noticeable, but if you look really close you might pick it out.

I went to the grocery store last night and found a spot right in the front. I parked my car right next to the curb with ample room on the left so the guy/girl could open their door with no chance of dinging my car.

When I came out of the grocery store the car was gone, but there was a shopping cart just a few inches from my driver's side door (wtf). I mean, they could have put the cart anywhere, but the jackasses decided to put it just a few inches from my car. Luckily the cart didn't actually hit my car b/c there weren't an dings or scratches, but still....some people can be so inconsiderate.

can I get the guy's number? I'm in LA, but if I can't find a better price around here then I'd be willing to go to Irvine.

Default I just got my first scratch too...

...rock chip from a truck hit my roof. My passengers and I heard a loud tap; everyone simultaneously gasped. There's a scratch that is not too noticable, but I'm still a bit down because I've had the car for only three weeks. Oh well..

Once you get your first one, it should feel much better afterwards......Always keeping your car in perfect condition would eventually make you crazy
