tanabe wont be out for another month or two, recently the prototype was sent back to japan for production, dont like how tanabes is a resonator back, heard LMS keeps it as a true dual exhaust
tanabe is a true bolt on system. LMS looks like cut and weld, or cut and clamp. i like tanabe mufflers better because coffee can mufflers(LMS) are not my taste.
Steve at Luxury motorworks has a new prototype that he put on my car that is allmost done. He can be reached at 626 256 4849
any details? i would really want an aftermarket system to at least cover the resonator. Tanabes doesnt appear to do that so Im looking at other options

Just wait for about another 2-3 months until the True catbacks exhaust comes out by Tanabe, HKS, Greddy, RS*R, or Apexi. Like Onihc says, "LMS looks like cut and weld, or cut and clamp" which they are. They are just a bunch of cheap mufflers welded on custom pipping and charging an arm and a leg for them.

there doesnt seem to be flanges directly after the cat unless the resonator is disconnected from its front. I dont really care if its custom piping it made a lot of power so thats very attractive. I do want at least the resonator to be replaced as well as anything after it.
wat does LMS add to pwr? i want to hear how it sounds too. ive seen the tanabe exhaust...looks ok, but imo it looks very close to stock. have yet to see LMS exhaust.
heard it added around 19-22 rwhp, tanabe added like 7-9 rwhp. Im guessing when the two cat pipes merge together thats killer on exhaust flow, and saps power. LMS exhaust doesnt look as clean as the tanabe but if the power gain can be re-verified thats something to consider
I talked to Steve at LMS today and he said the IS350 needs the resonators to make power. If you take them out you won't gain as much. Steve is claiming up to 22hp with his system that includes resonators. In comparison a system with no resonator makes upwards of about 7ish hp.
so it seems the stock resonator and its piping is quite restrictive, that 7hp is consistant with what tanabe is getting, their system doesnt have a resonator
