Question on IS250 6MT
I finally got to test drive the IS250 6MT yesterday. Since I've driven the IS250 6AT as well as the IS350 at the Taste of Lexus event, I knew how it handles. My main reason for the test drive yesterday was to get a feel for the 6MT because I read that the clutch was "mushy" and "long" (as reported in this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=is250+6MT). Well, my test drive told me the same thing. The clutch felt very long before engagement, and the pedal feel was very very soft. Then I remember reading some threads at the other IS message board that the 1st gen IS 5MT has the CDD (clutch dampening device) which many owners have removed, and the clutch pedal feel was improved. I'm wondering if the 2nd gen 6MT also has this CDD somewhere. For those who have already downloaded the service manual from Toyota's website, can you find out if there is such device in the 6MT? Thanks.
