Try it right now!

Don't know about you guys, but with the power tilt/telescope steering wheel I get great Head room.

I just went out to a dealership and sat in a Lexus for the first time..it was a '95 LS400. I've been looking at these for a while now and really had my mind set on getting one. However, I quickly realized that it probably won't become a reality as I was unable to fit in it! I'm 6'5" and even with the seat lowered and tilted back a fair amount, my head was still against the roof and there was no clearance room for my knees Guess it's time to start looking at other cars with more room..I wanted a Lexus soo badly, damn

Since this thread has resurfaced, let me report I've tried several more times to see if I fit or can get used to an IS. I've instinctively learned to crane my neck when entering the car. I've readjusted the seats back further and it feels okay. Still a little claustrophobic but getting better. I've lost some weight since the first try, that's probably why I fit better. Still don't understand how I fit well in a 3 series but Lexus didn't think to make us big guys feel comfortable in this car.

I am 6'3" 210lbs and with the seat down all the way I have about 2" headroom. There few sport/sporty cars that I have found a tall person will comfortably fit. One of my coworkers owns an E90 and I don't notice anymore headroom than the IS350.

I think the IS seat actually is pretty high. I'd love it to be a little lower. Even in its lowest seat height setting, it still sits up high (maybe because of all the electronics on the chair). The BMW seat can go low, so it gives more trunk height clearance. The IS feels like a regular chair, but the BMW seats low like a toilet seat...
