Default High Insurace rates? IS 250 AWD.

Wow, I am getting such high insurance quotes for IS 250 AWD in north NJ, I checked 3 companies and the average comes to $3,000.00 annually.

3 grand? That's insane. Get a quote from Progressive or somewhere online. Unless you've got a seriously bad driving record, I can't imagine having to pay that. I pay less than (a lot less) for two cars, neither of which is cheap.

that's too much. i'm paying 450 for half year full coverage with farmers.. on my IS350

my girl's IS250 is 650 for half year full coverage.. but she's younger. - she has state farm plus different city that's why the price is that much different.

my s2000 is only 1100 full coverage for half year....

safer city get cheaper insurance rate.

I was under the impression that NJ and CA have one of the highest markets for insurance rates in the United States. My IS 250 AWD, full-coverage ($100K/$300K), is $682 per six months through Metropolitan Life. Tack on an extra $100 per six months for the Umbrella policy which brings it up to $1.1M/$1.3M coverage.

$1500 per six, $3000 annual doesn't sound too far off. GEICO wanted $1200 per six months from me ($2400 per year) after I had insured my old Galant with them for over 5 years and never had an at-fault claim.

I'd say keep on shopping.

Cheers,
Kermee

North Jersey with a couple of speeding tickets and accidents/claims with Geico.

I'm paying 200/month on my 350 with Allstate, there the cheepest I could find. Proggressive and Geico are 300-400 more every 6 months. I haven't had a ticket in almost 4yrs or an accident in almost 7yrs. It's all the damn old folks that can't drive in FL that run our rates up.

Nhawk

What kind of coverage do you have to pay that amount in nj? I've been quoted about $2 to $3 grand per year.

I pay 477 6 mos. for my 350 w/100 comp 500/collision deductible. GMAC online..have one speeding ticket and an at fault accident. But I have another car on the policy too so it makes that one a lil cheaper. I was paying 280 mo for my 04 s2000, 06 IS 350, & a 1999 4 runner. I am 26/female/not married.
