Default Headlight aim

I'm trying to adjust my low beam level. Does any of you know if turning the adjustment screw clockwise will lower or elevate the light beam level? Thanks in advance.

it's easy to tell: just turn it one way and watch the light beam (you can mark the wall with masking tape before turning).

This worked on my 02 M3.

1. (a) wait for the adjustment to happen; it's not immediate and
(b) turn **** at least one full turn or more to see any change.

2. Turning the **** clockwise lowers the beam.

3. Two full turns lowered the beam about 1 inch on a board about 3 feet in front of the headlight.

4. Loki, if you want to put this info into your FAQs, please feel free to "steal" my pic of the adjustment ****.

BTW, this was done on an '02 M3 with bi-xenons.
Please correct this assumption if it's wrong.
