Does the IS have auto dimming outside mirrors?
how bout tilt down outside mirrors in reverse?
what about auto folding outside mirrors?

I believe the GS has all of the above, just wondering if the IS has the same.

One more thing, does the IS have telescoping steering wheels that move out of the way when exiting and entering the vehicle?

The reason I ask is that my folks just bought a fully loaded Maxima and it comes with everything, I was especially impressed with the telescoping steering wheel and the auto dimming outside mirrors.

Auto anti-glare function (vehicles with sports or luxury package) When the anti-glare inside rear view mirror is set to AUTO mode, the outside rear view mirrors will activate in conjunction with the anti-glare inside rear view mirror to reduce reflected light. (?P. 38)

Linked mirror function when reversing (vehicles with driving position memory) The outside rear view mirrors will automatically angle downwards when the vehicle is reversing in order to give a better view of the ground. However, this function will not operate when the mirror select switch is in the neutral position (between L and R).

< auto folding > There's no mention of this in the manual, so I guess we don't get such gizmo's on the U.S. model. Funny though, the Lexus website says "auto-folding" which can make it very confusing.

 

however the mirrors are larger than the ones on the GS. They also are set wider and further from the A pillar to reduce wind noise. They will swivel both directions if they are tapped or hand adjusted.

Yes they function the same as the New GS other than the auto fold in as Rockville explained. My 04 IS300 does the same features except tilt down in reverse and auto fold in.

Yes it tilts up and out of the way for th power tilt/telescoping steering. The manual version will stay in it's static position from when you last left it of course.
