are they not as "blue" as bmw's and audi's because of the headlight assembly???
I know stupid question, just curious. I heard something about a prism effect?

actually it's because of the way the projector lense is made.. the DOT law says that no blue should come out of the front of your car unless it's an emergency vehicle, toyota made sure there was no blue at all coming out of their projectors...europeans car makers <and honda> figured oh well, it's just a itty bitty bit so it shouldn't be a problem, unfortunately that itty bit is what we are all looking for

check this thread, it shows what I meant with the projector glass <lense> HID Retrofit
Not to hijack the thread, but I have a question about the OEM HIDs.
According to the brochure and window sticker, I have "bi-xenon" lights. But from what I can see, only the low beam is xenon HID. I can distinctly see a filiment in the high beam, plus I've read that it's used (at lower voltage) for the daytime running lights. What gives?

i believe you just need different tempature bulbs, and it will make it
seem more "bluer".. I had a bmw 330cic, and the xenon's werent that
blue,, i changed to them a higher temp bulb and that did the trick,, so
no i do not believe the lense plays a big part in it...
