Does anyone know how a remote starter will affect the keyless entry program of the car? Can the two coexist with eachother?

So are we assuming that if the GS remote start will be compatible with US cars that it will be true for the IS at some point in the future? Assuming compatibility can someone guesstimate a timeframe?
