Good to know. How's the headliner/moonroof rattle? I had the same problem with my ES and they fixed it by taking it apart and re-stuffing the padding inside it.

Count my vote on the empty bank account and the break in period. There have been soooo many times just the past couple of days when I wanted to just punch it getting on the freeway. One other minor gripe is the rear view mirror vibrating when the base hits on the stereo. And I've got the standard system--wonder how it would be if I had gotten the ML!

Yes, I agree with LDYNRED with the rear view mirror issue when the base notes hit on the stereo. Also, my friend was following my car from the rear and said that the tail pipes were bouncing up and down. I wonder if other cars are like this.

the location of the 12v adaptor in the center console kinda bothers me. If I plug in the car charger I cant close the center console. yes the rear mirror vibrates a little much too

I have a few, mostly minor issues and some observations. Overall it's still a great car so far.

> (this posted elsewhere as well) - The display for audio and MP3's etc isn't all that. It only displays ~16 characters and it's the file name not the metadata (for some reason I'm blanking on the term for the embedded artist/song data) etc. I'm not sure why it doesn't show more characters, there is certainly ample room and it doesn't even scroll the name. My other gripe is that if you put it on "random" it will only play randomly if you let the song play to the end and move to the next. If you skip to the next song, it will literally be the next song on the disc and not another random song. This doesn't make sense to me. If I wanted the next song, I'd turn the random function off. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (I haven't read through the inch thick NAV manual 100%) but it's probably just poor design.

> I wish the car would lock if you just walked away with the keys aftyer 30 sec or so. Since the unlocking system is passive, the locking should be too.

> I have an annoying rattle in my passenger door that I'll need the dealer to look at.

> I wish the steering wheel was a little more adjustable. It's sits a little low, even with the seat all the way down.

> I agree, there is quite a bit of vibration in the mirror when the stereo is up loud and there is a lot of bass. However, this is pretty common in a lot of cars. My 325ci does the same thing.

> I also agree about the power outlet and the center console/arm rest. It's a shame it won't close while using it.

> The hood is too hard to close (as mentioned).

> I think the snow/power toggle is in a bad spot. I can't see it from the driving position. Same with the satellite buttons although these don't really have function while driving.

> A gear indicator displays while in the "manual" mode but hides while in full automatic. I think it should display all the time. I realize you can see the gear indicator on the other display but why duplicate displays?

> The NAV system is a little clumsy and not always intuitive; however, it is better than a lot of other systems. It does a halfway decent job resisting finger marks but I keep a microfiber cloth in the car to keep it clean (yeah, I'm a little **** about such things).

> When are cars going to come with softened seat belt clip casings (the hard plastic casing around the seat belt insertion tab)? They should put something on the outside of it, rubber, felt, etc to keep it from banging the support column when you take it off and let it go. It tends to scratch the plastic on the column. Again, maybe just my **** nature. This isn't a problem on coupes because the column is so far back but it's common in all sedans, not just this one.

I guess that is all for now

Default Vibration in my steering wheel...

Well where to start. 1) I have had my IS250 RWD since November. I bought the only car the dealer had in stock which was demo with 1700 miles. Once I became comfortable with car i started to notice a slight, but very annoying vibration in the steering wheel between 70-75 mph. I took it to the dealer a total of 5 times.

The first time they rebalanced the tires.
The second they told me i had 2 bent rims (the front 2)-we all know how heavy and solid those factory rims are...I would have known if I hit something. The told me that it would be $200 dollars to straigten the rims (they paid half)
The third time they said the newly re-bent rim wasn't balanced correctly
The forth time balancing again
The fifth time the supposidly replaced the front wheel with a PDI car.
I have been driving the car this way for about 1-week and the problem is now more in the 75-80 mph range.
What should I do? Anyone have this problem or are your cars smooth in the wheel at all speeds.
-- I relize this a supposedly a sports car and I can tell the differance between road feedback and a odd vibration. Thanks for repsonses in advance.

All cars have rubber mounted exhausts. It's normal for them to move around a good bit.

this is an all new model after all
I have a very strange problem with my car, had it since I got it. I haven't reported it, but I'll get it fixed when I bring my car in for an oil change next month. Since it's freezing out it hasn't been a problem.

The A/C system is very strange.

1. When everything is off hot air still comes out of the vents.
2. When everything is off and I turn on the defroster and then turn off the defroster air still comes out of the vents. I have to hit "OFF" for the air to not come through the vents.
3. When I turn the A/C on and set the temp to lets say 68, the air coming out of the vents is not cold. That might have something to do with the outside temperature.

That's it for now...

Read your manual. The AC compressor will not necessarily operate if the outside temp is near or below freezing. If you don't want air coming out of the vents, you need to set the air to recirculate. Just turning the climate control off has nothing to do with whether or not fresh air will flow from the vents.

READ the manual, and it's not working. I was NOT looking for a "Read your manual" response, I was just posting a comment, and I tossed in the bit about the cold weather since the manual clearly mentions that point.

68 isn't cold. It's all relative, especially if you say it's freezing outside.

The A/C system is very strange.

1. When everything is off hot air still comes out of the vents.

That's it for now...
1. Even if the fan is not running, air will still flow thru the vents.
2. How are you turning it off, if not the "OFF" button?
3. If you are in "AUTO" mode and the current temp in the car is below 68 degrees, you will get warm air regardless of whether A/C is on or off. If you want cool air regardless of the temp in the car, turn "A/C" on and "AUTO" off. There is a certain outdoor temp that, once it drops below, an A/C compressor will not run. I don't know what that temp is for this A/C, but it can range widely - anywhere from 40 deg. down to 0.

This stuff is nothing out of the ordinary.
