21 white male, '08 is 350. My parents did pay for it, it was a graduation present. I had driven a '96 corolla since I was 15 and they rewarded me for good grades and getting into a good school. I did however pay for my own Highlander when I started working.
Male /29yrs - 06 IS250 AWD
If any parent has an opportunity to provide a better life for their family, why not? and rightfully so. They may or may not have taught their kids the value of a dollar, but hey... who are we to judge? Ultimately, anyone who is ungrateful, unappreciative is only hurting themselves/parents in the end. There's really no point in having this argument here as we all come from different walks of life.
If I had an opportunity to purchase a luxurious, SAFE, reliable vehicle for my son/daughter, I would...provided that he/she understands that my blood, sweat and tears pours into the cost of his/her insurance. LOL
To the person who commented on parents being idiots for buying their kid a "newer luxury" vehicle. Look at the flip side, perhaps they purchased a "newer luxury" vehicle knowing their child would be safer driving one (peace of mind). IMO, that's logic...
*How many airbags/safety features are in a Lexus vs Honda Civic? Case in point....
