It should be the IC. But that, of course, is a guess.

Who told you so? The only PZLEV vehicle Toyota has right now is the Prius. Even the RX400h isn't close to PZLEV.

I think the IS350 will be certified as a ULEV just like the GS300/430, or a ULEV-II at best.

How bout IC350s? Might as well add a sport to the end for suspension tuning, and an extra 15 hp.

My guess is that if the basic shape of the coupe is identical to the sedan, there will be no name change at all a la the IS300 SportCross.

If the coupe's appearance deviates enough from the sedan a la the 6-Series vs. the 5-Series, however, we might be seeing a new model name introduced such as an IC250/350.

How long was it before a manual was introduced for the IS300?

Oh, I SEE!!!

IC 350 has an ok ring to it...The new Lexus IC. Well, not too far off the Lexus IS. Because I SEE it IS a Lexus. At least it's not a Lexus BS.

Here are some chops, which might help you guys have an idea of what the IS Coupe might look like. I think it looks pretty damn good!

Toyota doesnt have an inline series of motor slated for the US... The Z initially had an inline motor too you know? Only the recent 350Z has a V6 (the 300ZX being more of a touring car and considered a ZX car and not a Z car technically)

You can go ahead and think its stupid. I see no problem with a $32k V6 RWD coupe that makes 350hp with a 6-speed manual transmission, gets great gas mileage and toyota reliability. Do you? If you think its a stupid car based upon the sheer fact that it won't have an inline motor, then you've got a 'holier than thou' problem. Sure inline motors are superior in most aspects... but not in packaging and not in cross-platform portability; which is what counts when you want to make PROFIT on the car.
You're right about the 350z being the recent Z with a v6.
