Default Anyone seen....

the badazz pict of the upcoming IS500 in Road and Tracks SPEED magazine? Sorry I was too cheap to buy the mag and scan for y'all, but I felt I should point it out as I don't see that picture in any other mags beside SPEED. I just happen to see it by accident cuz I was bored while at the mall. The pict showed the upcoming IS with noticeably wider fenders, deeper side sills and a more aggressive front end, huge wheels that look to be 20", 4 doors and naturally it was lowered. That thing looked tight, at first I thought it was the upcoming M3. The only thing that seemed out of place was the headlight, it was a little on the feminine side and not aggressive looking enough to balance out what they've to the rest of the car. Other than that, I'm pretty excited. If anyone has that mag, please scan it as I can't find that particular magazine anymore when I went back to Barnes and Nobles the next day.

Looks nice overall, not sure about the bumper, but should be just another chop job anyway.

Thanks to k3vo @ my.is for the scan.

$80,000 - $90,000 That's way more than a M3 . . . at least the price sounds a little far-fetched . . .

the v8 version i think a lot of sources have talked about and almost like it's coing

but man, the price tag of 80k? if that's really the price of the car, i am sure, the car won't sell heck, for about the same price i can get the m5 or the e55 man

NO WAY that car will cost 80-90k

the audi rs4 will be ~60-75, the bmw m3 60-75

audi rs6, 90-100

bmw m5, 90-100

no way the lexus could be 90k for the smallest sedan

needs to be 50-75 to even think about selling

$75 K ? There aren't ANY Lexus currently that is over $70K. I think it shouldn't be over $60K loaded, it's still just an IS . . .

a4 2.0T = 30-42 (auto, loaded, 40,425)
a4 3.2 =35-45 (auto, loaded, 45,420)
s4 = 50-55 (auto, loaded, 54,995)
future rs4 = 60-75

325 = 30-52 (auto, loaded, 51,818)
330 = 40-56 (auto, loaded, 55,281)
current m3 = 48-65 (loaded, smg, 65,931)
future m3 = 60-75

c230k = 30-50 (auto, loaded, 47,871)
c320 4matic = 40-55 (auto, loaded, 54,277)
c55 amg = 53-60 (loaded, 66,967)

current is300 loaded = 35k (i priced loaded at 33,749)

future is250 = ~33
future is350= ~37-45
future is500= ???

my goal was to make them as high as i could get them, yet keep them similarly optioned... i.e. auto, nav, nice wheels, nice leather/interiors, etc

seriously man, if the new m3 is that expensive, it starts to get a bit too ridiculous. that's too much money for that size of a car imho?

Lexus has always been big on value compared to their competitors. Even if you assume the new M3 will be about 4-5,000 more expensive, it'd put the M at about 70 g's. If a fully loaded IS350 costs in the low 40's (guess), I can't see Lexus selling this car for more than 50,000 or so.

At $80-$90K it makes the LF-A at $100K look like a bargin. I wouldn't spend more than $50K, maybe $55K for the IS500 no matter how much HP and performance it has. As much as I like the new IS and can see myself buying one, I still consider it the entry level Lexus car
