Yeah these pics show the rear looking very boxy, but what I don't like and I have said this from the start is the rear bumper why does it look soooo wide & thick? The trunk & taillights the way they wrap is fine, it's that rear bumper that my eyes immediately go to & seems out of portion.
Maybe IS350 will have sportier looking rear bumper w/ different exhaust????
Car looks hot in this bluish color As for the boxy rear, it's the weakest part of the car & we've discussed it before here, it also depends on the angle at which you look at the rear too . . .
You know what I just noticed that I dont like?? Foot pedal E-brake. That just burns me up. I can easily live with it, but I wont be able to have much fun stepping on the e-brake and sliding around in the snow and ice in a parking lot than pulling it with your hand. I always thought and felt that hand e-brake was more sporty and convienent than pedal e-brake.
So from these pics it appears the new IS is already in showrooms in Japan. So that means there has to be an IS Full Spec Catalog for people to pick up listing hp, colors, interior choices, whether wood can be replaced with sportier alum trim, that means there has to be specs listed in the catalog...see where I am getting at????
From what I' ve read & heard, the new Lexus IS won't go on sale until this August in Japan when the Lexus brand is officially launched there. These are not pics of the IS in showrooms in Japan, but probably a preproduction model inside the Lexus headquarter there . . .
