BMW will carry over the E46 coupe for at least a year before E90 based coupes come out while selling the E90 sedan. Maybe Lexus is doing the same thing.
Info less than a week away.
IS200 is just an IS with 2.0 engine... nothing special or unspecial about it :-). So new IS200 will be... an new IS with 2.0 engine :-).

Considering how 3 series has 1.6, 1.8, 1.8d engines below 2.0 mark, Lexus will need that engine in Europe... Both for pricing and lower gas consumption.

Default Hey Biker got plenty of batteries for your camera?

We want interior shots please. Dual exhaust? Stay away from all the Diesel smoke and the Polish dancers. Have a good time and make CL proud. Our fate is in your hands.

Maybe European IS200 will have somekind of version of 4gen 3sge engine currently offered on Altezza RS200. Because the six cylinder now sold in Europe doesnt offer any real performance and has been critizised by the press.

Might be hard to get decent shots of the interior of the car from 10 ft away while it's spining away on one of those turntable stands.
I think they import French dancers, not Polish.

Default Sick and Flip

Can you forward some kind of Club Lexus credentials to Biker so he may be able to get some type of Press Pass on announcement day? Right after Denny unveils the IS they will let the Press come up and gawk at the car(s) and take photos. Does Team One have any resources we could use for this occasion? Then Club Lexus will have an official presence at the Geneva Show. Maybe we should just call Denny and I'm sure he would be receptive. I just hope there is enough time.....

If you want good auto journalism and testing, there are much better sources than M/T.

Is he the one that will do the unveiling? I would have thought some European exec would do that.

Team One Advertising is only responsible for Lexus advertising in the United States. Not too sure about Europe and other markets.

Does anyone know when the IS250/350 will be available in the US? Is there a waitlist yet? An estimated MSRP? All-wheel drive?

Or will all of this be debuted March 1 along with the actual design of the car?

The new IS is scheduled to come to the US market in the 3rd quarter of this year usually Sept 2006. The world debut of the car is March 1. You will get more info on or after March 1 regarding the US release.

Default Not sure where I heard about Denny Clements in Geneva

Maybe I imagined it so clearly but I thought I saw it somewhere in my reading....Anyway the dealer information is that the new IS will be here in October '05 as an '06 model. I don't like to quote Lexus release dates as they have been pushed back sometimes as much as 6 months! Since it is pretty close on the calendar that is my story and I'm sticking with it. SpWolf do you even have a camera? or do you spend all of your money on Car Magazines? You are on top of it however you manage it. Wish I could be there too with all the French dancers and Fur coats in Geneve. Ne touche pas.
