Blend door won't close anymore

Blend door won't close anymore
Vehicle starts with a orange/amber light on the HVAC controls. Just noticed today that the blend door (in glovebox) won't shut. I can't shut it manually, either.
I read about recalibrating HVAC system so I'll try that first.
