Hello I have been interested in clear taillights for my 2007 IS250 (RWD) since I first purchased it back in November of 2023 and I have only been able to find custom made ones for 600$. recently I stumbled upon a listing for clear taillight covers for my is250 that just replaced the ones on the stock taillights for an OEM+ look, but I was wondering if anyone knows how I would go about actually taking the outer covers off and putting on the clear ones. thank you.

As best I recall when I had mine out, the cover and the body are sonically welded (fused) but could be glued too. Did the site give any information?
I'd guess it would be tedious process of using a rotary file like that of a Dremel tool and cut the old lens off trying not to damage the housing. How you glue it back together so it doesn't leak is another issue.

interesting, it would definitely be pretty diy then. it's still definitely cheaper than the ladder but I don't know how qualified I am to do it lol but I guess we'll see. also no it did not give any instructions but there was a review with an image and it was positive so it may be easier I'm not sure.
