Push to start crank

Hello, i know it might be a dumb question but i want to perform a piston soak on my is250 07. I know in order to get the fluid out i can either vacuum it, or just crank it and have it spew out, however i dont have a vacuum and dont want to buy one. im wondering since its a push to start, will it crank without the spark plugs in them? do i have to hold the start button to have it crank, thanks for any help.

Don't forget to pull the fuse for the fuel pump before you do that. And yes it will crank without spark plugs.
