Car shuts off all electronics after trying to start
As said in title, the car shuts off everything when i try to start it. Sometimes when i step out of the car it will enter accessory mode and ill try to start it again and it will do the same thing. Then randomly it will start for me. I believe its the bcm, so i was going to buy a used one but i am wondering if possibly the bcms are vin specific so i will have to buy a brand new one?
thank you for replying, unfortunately i tried the battery and alternator testing and it seemed fine. It doesn’t shut off when im driving, after i get it to crank it runs totally fine. The issue is when i get into my car and try to start it, when i press on my brake the light pops up on the keyless start, but as soon as i press it everything turns off, even the dome lights. Its almost like the car thinks its stolen.
It could possibly be the fuel pressure but check what i said to the previous comment if you might need more context.

I'd still suggest a battery load test. If nothing else, disconnect the leads and clean them.
Is the check engine light on when its in this condition? Have you looked at the ground strap that goes from the battery to the engine block? Have you done a voltage drop test from the battery negative to the engine block, the frame and the chassis? I remember another user had an issue with the ground strap where it was rotted badly at the opposite end from where it connects to the battery and it caused intermittent issues like you are talking about.
