Making Forged Carbon Interior Panels
Recently, I've been looking into compression molding and forged carbon-making process, and it got me interested in making my own forged carbon interior trim. To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of the bright wood interior and would much rather prefer the carbon fiber look of the ISF from the same time (2IS). However, forged carbon seems much more forgiving as it does not require me to vacuum bag and bake the carbon fiber. I've skinned one of the rear passenger seat wood trim, and I think it will turn out really cool. I'll keep y'all updated with the finished pics when it's done curing, sanding, and applying a clear coat.
