I have a problem with the reception of the key fob. it only works in certain angles from the car.

What I’ve done:
- I only have one key fob but it has a new battery
- the car unlocks and locks perfectly fine from the inside buttons so I don’t think it’s door actuators
- the key fob flashes red when I press the button

but the car locks and unlocks from either being far away from the car or near the trunk but it sometimes doesn’t at all when I press the buttons.

if i do walk up to the car it does turn on the puddle lights

 

How new is that "new" battery? Did the packaging have a year on it? I'd go to the store, find a duracell made this year and try again.

 

Battery pack says 2027 on it but I’ll try it out

 

Hey I got an energizer battery from home depot and it fixed the issue! Only problem I have is the door handle button still isn't working and only works sometimes, any ideas?
