I ended up with an ECU from an 03… can I put it in my 01?..
Can it be rewired??

 

Not without entire harness change. Why do you want the 2003 ECU?

 

Any idea where I can find one?

I don’t necessarily.. I just had to get a new one bcuz I think mine’s kaputz. So I found someone on Facebook that was parting out their 01 and he had it complete with the cylinder and key and everything

I double checked that it was for an automatic but I didn’t think to verify that it was for an 01.. considering he was parting out his 01. Silly me. Anyways when I got it, I noticed the plugs don’t match.

 

Not worth changing the whole harness. Just have your ECU repaired.

 

it will not work even if you change out the harness, or make a patch harness.
01 uses a completely different commmunication to the chasis from the ecu.
you would have to change out all the chasis harnesses, computers, seats ect in order to make it work.


we can disable the immobilizer or pair a new key with the new ecu once you get it.
