Annoying squeak
I took my car into mechanics for an annoying squeak on the drivers side. Diagnosed as rear wheel, hand brake pads needing replacing. This was done and squeak noise still there. Incidentally, this noise is not there when car is stationary. They said my rear wheel discs were very worn, as were the pads and should be replaced, so having owned this car since 2005, I knew these parts could need replacing. Pads and discs replaced and still squeak there. They then said the rear hubs were quite worn and they had removed surface rusting, but pitting was evident, but it didn't appear to be a problem. Today, I had car in for re-setting handbrake now the pads had worn in and check on the squeak. Doesn't appear to be rear wheel, having hoisted car, but possibly midway underneath, but no final diagnosis.
