Default IS300 Differential Question

I have a manual IS300 with the OEM Torsen Diff. I also have an auto IS300 open diff which is not currently inside a diff housing (internals only)

Question - Can I swap the internals from my IS300 Torsen diff with the open diff and use the same housing (LSD Housing)

I know for a fact that you can swap the actual entire diff from auto to manual without any issues, but I'm wondering mostly about the internals (actual diff portion).

Yes, but you must reset the pinion depth and stuff.

Can you, or anybody provide a link on how to do this properly?

Would I need to reset the pinion depth if they're both complete IS300 diffs? Wouldn't I just need to remove the 4 bolts inside and simply swap the internals over?

Here are pics of the open diff for reference.

If you move it from one case to the other. You will need to reset the depth. Why not just put the whole diff in?

I couldn't find anywhere in the Service Manual where it shows how to do this

I bought it from someone who didn't have the housing.

Take it to a shop. You need dial indicator and a lot of experience to rematch the clearance on used gears. If it is not done perfect. They will make noise and wear fast. The info is in the manual. If you think you can do this.
