I'm stuck and feeling pretty stupid. I recently drained, not flushed, my transmission and after refilling it with new Toyota fluid, I get delayed shifts, engine over revving before a shift and P0715 - Turbine/Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit code.
I haven't done anything else to the car other than draining out old transmission fluid but am also having a difficult time determining if I have the right amount of fluid. I'm checking on a level surface with the engine running in Park. Sometimes I get fluid readings on one side of the dipstick that look like I have enough fluid. The other side could read down around the Cold mark. (I accidentally over filled the transmission once, drained the fluid and am now being very careful to sneak up on getting to the right level...I hope.)
Unfortunately, I didn't have containers to pour the old fluid into and thus, to measure how much I drained,
So, after you pick yourselves up off the floor from laughing at my folly (I guess I deserve it), can anyone help me figure out what to do now, especially since I'm now getting the P0715 code?

There are two speed sensors on the side of the transmission. The one closest to the motor is bad per code. I would replace both. They are cheap. If still there after, Transmission clutches are very worn. Which means you will need to replace it. I have turned the valve body pressure up and made some tranny's work again for a while. But still going to go out.
