Thanks for the clarification on the dyno numbers Mo. That seems inline w/ others. Any surging w/ the T76? It's know to have issues w/ the GTE and they have a better intake manifold than the IS does so I'm imagining the flow on the IS's GE to cause surge problems.

I have a 2002 IS300 and have done a gte swap, coupleled with this factory auto. Does it work? Yes. You have to know the in's and out's of the car's wiring to do it. The IS300 uses a square wave cam and crank signal, and the older gte engines use an analog multitooth 24-1 signal. so the only way to make it work is to use a standalone to run the gte, while still inputing the other signals into the factory ecm. any systems that need to see a cam or crank signal have to be rewired to the standalone. ex. fuel pump relay, a/c compressor relay, tach input into combination meter... so can it be done? yes. is it alot of work? yes. is it worth it? only if you plan on keeping the auto tranny only temporarily. auto tranny totally bogs out the gte's power so i would advise only using it temporarily until you either go v160 or r154. overall is it worth it? yes! gte non-vvti sounds totally different and will be much more relayable than an interferance vvti, especially making big power.
