Hey everyone,

I have recently purchased a 2001 IS300 and have come across a couple problems and would really appreciate some help/advice. Some of the problems I’ve been having are:
-Sometimes (rarely) when I use my signal the radio will turn off and on
-Yesterday I used the signal and my engine shut off, while driving on a highway, and turned back on again almost instantly, and than after I turned the signal light off it would turn off and on again rapidly about 3 times and than was fine.
-twice I have gone to start the car and when I go to turn the key over absolutely nothing happens. No lights come on, nor do any of my gauges move.

I have the car with my mechanic and we are both trying to figure out what could be the issue. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and for any help!

I'd test for shorts using the DMM between the postive cable and positive terminal while pulling fuses one by one. Do this with the engine off but key on or you'll fry something.

 

Check all your ground points.

 

Get battery load tested. Sounds like as soon as you put load on battery it looses power.
Hows it run with the lights on? I had an issue where as soon as I turn my lights on it would shut off. I had water in my HID ballasts.
