Belt Pulleys
Well I just had my serp belt get mangled because of a bad pulley bearing, most likely the power steering pulley from what I could tell. Had to drive it 6 miles without the belt, as soon as I pulled into my driveway, coolant started spraying from somewhere, cant identify the source.
Anyways, what I wanted to know is could the two be connected in any way?
Also can I purchase the pulley itself or do I have to buy the entire power steering pump?

without the belt on, the water pump doesn't move coolant which means localized overheating.
You should have gotten the car towed - that could mean a blow head gasket.
the part of the pulley that spins is part of the pump - the pulley can't stop spinning - only the pump.
I've never seen a 2jz power steering pump fail - I would check the rest of the pulleys first
