Default Throwing P0430 code....

Everyone,

I am new to this side as I have an IS -F and focus my time mostly on that side. I also have an 04 is 300 with just some little mods and no performance mods.

I recently threw a P0430 code and from that I understand it is an issue in Bank 2 catalytic converter. I plan to replace this. Dealer is outrageous even with a inside hook up. I saw some aftermarket headers, and some cheaper oem ones. What would you recommend that I do. I don't want to put aftermarket and deal with check engine lights.

Just so everyone knows I will be selling and getting a truck and keeping my is-f. So I want to get out cheap as this will be happening soon.

Suggestions are great. I have researched quite a bit but would love to hear from you lexus and gear heads.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I am going to start with looking for exhaust leaks. Then I will replace o2 sensors. Then the converter.
