I joined earlier this year when I was looking at getting an LS460 as my next daily driver. When we began doing things to the house we just bought last year (metal roof, getting the basement set up with a proper drainage system), the idea of me getting one was put on hold.

Fast forward a month or two. I find a Toyota Celsior for sale at an importer in Virginia. I didn't get to it in time, and someone else bought it.

Then, out of the blue, I decided to look at IS300. I had considered one a couple years ago, but never thought I'd find one with decently low miles. So I moved on to thinking about an IS250/350. But then quickly moved on to the LS460 (that takes us to where I started above).

I thought I'd give craigslist, and the classifieds here a look, and see if there was one that struck my fancy.
I found some on Craigslist, and one on here. The one on here didn't work out. So I kept looking at craigslist. After doing a bit of research h, I learned 100k miles on an IS really isn't all that bad.

So I went after an '04 with ~92k miles on it that I found near Atlanta. Now it is due to be delivered to my house tomorrow. I am so excited.
This will be the first Lexus I have owned. My dad used to own a '96 ES300, and I remember it being a good car. It would probably still be on the road today if an old lady wouldn't have ran into the front end of his car back in 2012.

As for my screen name, it is because I am a long time Mitsubishi fan. I fell in love with the Evo IV back when I learned about it from the Internet in the late 90s. My plan as of now is to import one when they are legal in the U.S. in 6 years.
I have owned numerous Mitsus, and have loved them all.

Anyway, that's my story. I'll be looking around to see what I can do to start off with on the IS. I look forward to learning a lot.

Thanks for the space.

Oh and I will add some pictures once it is delivered tomorrow evening.

tl;dr -- I thought about getting a Lexus for a long time, and now have an IS on the way.
