Default Wheels

I currently have stock 17's on my 03 is300, but i'm thinking about buying new wheels.
originally I was just going to have my wheels powder coated black, but the wheels are pretty scuffed, have curb rash, etc. (i'll post a picture below) and i'm not sure if they'll be able to do something about that to not make them look ****ty..
so my second choice is obviously buying new wheels. I would probably get some used wheels, cause i'm not trying to spend too much on them, but a lot of the wheels i like that i'm finding are 18's.. I know I upped my wheel size on my last car and i ran into rubbing problems, as well as the speedometer being wrong. what are things I should look out for or expect to happen if I up my wheel size? or will it not be much of a difference since it's only 17" to 18"? I just want to know if I should worry about the size, or if I should strictly stick to 17's. thank you!

here's the picture of my current, scratched up wheels. (i'm not sure what all of this mess is from, that's how they were when I got the car)

A company called wheel collision takes rims and repairs bends, cracks, and curb rash. They repaint also. Maybe fix them and powder coat? Good luck

thank you, that's what i'm going to try to do. There's a local powder coat place, I emailed them and they said they could fix them before they powder coat them, i just need to drive over there and let them take a look and they'll give me a quote!
