Default Mysterious heat problem

I have a 2001 IS300 that when the temperature starts to get warmer here in Wisconsin like anywhere 60 and above I have a mysterious heat problem in the car. It feels like the hot air is on low by my feet, the dash radiates the heat and around he transmission shifter gets very warm. I took it to my mechanic and said he heat seem to be coning from the dash but to save myself a lot of money to leave as is. It is very bad and annoying. There is a plastic piece up in the open area of the drivers side right hand side that is white not sure what it is not tech savy that gets acually hot to the touch. I am thinking this may be th source or another piece that behind the glove box makes a cracklig sound when the car is startedand sometimes goes away sometimes keeps making that poppong crackling type sound. Any ideas guys or girls? His is ony and issue when the temp gets nicer never an issue in winter. And why the hell do hese cars take so long to come up to temperature in the winter? Iron block engine?

I'd say check the coolant,...If it's low add more. If it appears full check for bubbles

You can't really "check" for bubbles. Only thing you can really do is try to burp the system to get rid of any bubbles in the system.

I am pretty sure the heater core is behind/underneath the dash. Could be a cause to the problem. Do check your cooling to see if you are loosing coolant. If it is something underneath the dash, I agree you either will have to deal with it, or fork up some money. Getting underneath the dash would be a fun time indeed.

Ya the radiator was just replaced so that wasn't the cause. It really is bad though. Damn Lexus I have had pretty good luck with it minus that issue a car that won't shift into 5th gear until it either reaches 45 or begins to warm up from a bit of driving and the infamous CD changrer that crapped out early on. Other than that no suspension parts yet replaced after 13 years snd 115k.

Just because the radiator was changed does not mean it can not leak elsewhere.
