Need some help.
I have a 2005 is300 and was wondering if I run 17x9 wheels in the front and 17x9.5 in the back with 12 offset if they would fit without any modification and no rubbing or anything. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

considerable mods required as stated above.... the wheel width is not a problem i ran 17x9 all around with no problem.. its the offset.
lets see if we can map it out simply... OEM you have what:
17x7x45offset....running a 215 45 17
a 17x9x12offset is 2 inches wider (assume the wheel is one inch wider ft and bk for now) & would have over 30mm less offset towards the cars centerline...so they will run over 30mm farther out, away from the cars centerline. Also, with an inch wider wheel,(inside and out=2in.), add another... 15-20 or so mm to size of this combo.. the outside edge of your wheel/tire will be 50+mm farther out from where they run now.. which would require major wheel well modifications which also usually means front and rear bumper modifications to make it all work.....
I may be wrong but with just the offset change, yer still looking at way more offset than can be easily managed without running dangerously skinny tires on that wide rim or excessive camber which will kill tires fast as hell if you intend to actually drive the car much.....and you would still need to shave the hell outta the rears + a decent pull, & roll/ pull the fronts flat..
if you do it unless you can do alot on your own it wil lcost ya with the work and paint etc....but...spen d the cash and do it right and it would look pretty badass!
