Dashboard lights came on during sleet!!
Hello all,
I was driving home from work today and the weather was sleeting. Not real bad. I was on the highway and at one point felt that my front tires lost traction or control. It was for a few seconds, but I remembered seeing the brake light and a few instrument lights came on. After those few seconds, the car regain control and the lights went away. Is this normal?

Sounds normal... not sure about the brake light, the one light you should see is the VSC / Traction light flash while in low traction situations...
Be safe though, slow it down, get better tires, both, it can't always save you!

this. your VSC light will automatically kick on when the car senses a loss of traction. Did it shut your motor down also to regain control? Are you sure is was the brake light? I don't believe these lights are suppose to come on during this situation
UPDATE!
It wasn't the lost traction that caused this problem! I was on the highway doing about 75mph and all of a sudden, my car would lose all electrical power for 2 seconds and then it would come back again. This problem kept happening every 1 hour or so. I found out that my negative battery connector was corroded and after a little baking soda and cleaning, the problem went away. **crosses fingers**. Thanks all for your help.
