Default My 2002 IS300

Howdy Folks,
Picked the car up about a month ago. It's a 2002 Auto w/ E-Shift with 135k miles and absolutely clean inside and out! The car came with a AEM CAI as well as a JGT cat back exhaust.

Engine bay pic:

Thought i'd show some pics with the Plasti-crap removed from the wheels. The noob did a pretty ****ty job and i think he used one can for all 4 wheels. I think it looks much better with out it. Two of the wheels are kind of ugly, one being worse then the other, but oh well. I'll find some different rims or have these blasted and powder coated.

Before:

After:

The grille was also starting to chip and peel from the noob paint job. So i Plast-dipped that with about 8 coats:

****ty picture but you get the point here. Replaced the map and dome lamps with some LED's:

Ordered smoked front and rear side markers as well as LED bulbs, side markers have arrived, but awaiting the LED's still since they are on back order from V-LEDs.com.

That's it for now, stay tuned.

Well, like all of us i would really like to do a NA-T setup, or a Aristo 2JZ swap, but i need to start saving my pennies to do that.

Other plans i have in mind are:
Wheels - Rota Boosts or MB Battles - Looking at 18's

Coilovers - CXRacing? I have heard good reviews about these, and are pocket book friendly

Double Din touchscreen headunit, refuse to put a single din in this car unlike my previous vehicles

Exhaust adjustable cam gear to retard timing 4* for some extra umph

Aftermarket header - Still on the fence about this, the JGT cat back is already kind of loud, so unsure how much louder a header will make it

If you are going to go NA-T or GTE swap, I would hold out on the header. Beef up your suspension first, so that when you do finally decide to go faster, you know your car can handle it.

The regular OEM wheels look way better.

I've always thought IS300 stock wheels were some of the best looking stock wheels.

Thanks, That is kind of the plan. Spring/Summer i am planning on wheels and coil overs. As well as the preventive maintenance suspension items.

Everyone else, thanks again! i did some other little items to the car over the weekend I will have to get some updated pics on:

Nokya DRL/High bulbs
5k parking light LEDs
Smoked sidemarker lenses with LEDs on all 4 corners
Ordered a set of MotoGFX brake caliper decals - Still waiting for these to arrive

Otherwise besides finishing LEDs everywhere else, i am kind of running out of the "little" things to do.
