Default Car wrecked :(

I have 2001 IS300 with 141000 on it. My girlfriend gets T-boned after getting stuck on a residential road urged to make a left after being "chirped" out of the way by police at the base of a T shaped intersection. The car turning left to the drivers side stopped but the car behind it went around in the shoulder area making her freeze. Then bam from the drivers side massive damage to the driver's door on 30 mph road. She's 90% likely going to be at fault because there's a strict law about turning left into an intersection.

Right now the damage is 6700 for the estimate. The estimate was turned in on the 4th and my insurance company has not gotten back to me.

I am almost certain my car will be totaled out because we have a 75% threshold in Maryland. How much do you think I will get back after the 500 dollar deductible is taken out? Do you think its worth buying my car back since most of the the car is in good condition except the driver door and front panel?

Not really, for $6K+ you can really get a decent shape IS with less miles.

Ok, I got $9.3k for this car!! Question is am I being ripped off is that a fair settlement?

From my stand point of getting it for $6.5k 2 1/2 years ago is real good. Lol, from their point of view they could be lowballing me if I got the car on the low.

Thats a good chunk of change for the car. Add a couple more grand and buy a really nice low mileage one. They are out there...
