I'm talking to a local dealer here and the model is an 05 IS300 w/ 76k on the dash and price for retail is 16,999. Any advice before i meet him that i should be aware of. So that i know how much repairs cost cause i know i drive a lot so probably 100 a week. if you guys can help me i'd appreciate it so i can be part of team lexus! lol

As a point of reference I just bought an 01 with 99k for 7100, private owner. Not perfect by far. All four wheels are really scratched and I will most likely have the front bumper repainted. Some minor to moderate scratches.

I bought my 1-owner '05 in Feb of last year from the Lex dealer for $11900. Of course it had 100300 miles on it but it has all service records from the same Lexus dealership. I met the original owner and he said the only reason he traded was because he trades all his cars when they hit 100k miles. He now drives an IS-F, it's his 5th Lexus.

Way to expensive you might as well by a shell and put in a 2jz-gte motor (supra motor) for that price

An 8 year old IS with 63k for $7800????? I don't even believe that, unless there is something really shady going on. Or did you buy it off a relative or something? A dealer would ask about double the price you say you paid.

I bought my 04 5speed with 87k on it for $11.5k and now almost 2 yrs later i have 111,000 miles on it and all i have done for maint is the 90k tune up and oil changes with royal purp and ive never had a problem with the car other then small bull**** things that take 2 sec to figure out. is300 or 2jz ge/gte are gorgeous engines. best DD ive ever had if that answers ur question. thats beyond expensive thou for that car i understand low miles but still not worth the amount they are askin.
