Default Throttle Issue!

So I have an 03 is300 and I love it. I have about 106,000 miles on it and have had minor issues, until now. Yesterday i was driving and I would accelerate but the car wouldnt move then it would rev and bogg over and over. after about a mile the cel came on and the car wouldnt move unless i floored the accelerator pedal. I took it to my shop ( had it towed) and hooked up my solus. as I depressed the accelerator the computer was only reading 20% throttle almost all the way depressed. had code 2121 which is throttle position sensor. FYI it wasnt the TPS it is what is called the "Throttle control motor" I had this issue and thought I would post so if anyone comes up with this issue they have something to refer to. I will post pics of what it is and what I replaced tomorrow when the part comes in from stupid Lexus of Tampa. I hope this helps someone, if not at least I did my CL duties lol.

bad throttle motor... going to need a new/used throttle body...

the 20% throttle you are able to get is kinda of a manual drive wire limp mode - when the throttle motor stops working, it still gives you 20% of throttle ability, and its the last 20% of pedal throw...

That's kinda what I meant... usually you can find the whole used assembly quite a bit cheaper than just a new motor...

I've also heard of some weird calibration issues when just replacing the motor, but, to my knowledge, that can be fixed with some trial and error...

Well I ordered a new motor so I'll know today if it works, it's easier and faster to get the motor since this is my dd walking to work sucks but yea I read up on calibration that's too hard but I will know if it fixes it and plus didn't want to go used and have this same problem in a few months that was the only reason I didn't get a whole used throttle body it wasn't that much more
