the black longish thing jutting out of the front of the throttle body. to the left of the tps. I think my throttle body is going bad, or at leat I think this part is going bad. I tried to call the dealer to get the part, but they will only ship out the entire throttle body. I havent had a chance to clean out my throttle body yet, but my local mechanic replace dthe tps and that is not the problem.

I have been having with great frquency the dreaded drop in rpm and the car goes into limp mode. turn off and turn back on and the car is fine for a bit, then the throttle gets VERY sluggish then it dies again. I think it might be a sticky throttle or the part I am looking for might be the culprit.

any ideas?

 

I believe that is the Throttle Control Motor with Magnetic Clutch....
