Post New Lexus Driver and Owner (need care tips)

Hello everyone. I'm turning 16 in about 1 month and will be getting the family's Lexus IS 300 , '03, manual transmission, as my daily driver. I get to drive it A LOT and have fallen completely in love with it compared to the Mazda 3, Mini Cooper, CRV, and Oddysey I have driven. The way I can feel the road and my car in the wheel gives me chillz. The person who owned the car before me was my father who bought it used, then my older brother who treated it like crap, and then my mother who rode it on a flat tire for a 3 days until I drove it and pointed out that the car felt funny.

The real reason I posted this thread is because I want to know how to best take care of it. Obviously I need to take it in for oil changes on time, watch the oil and liquid levels, but what are some other things I can do to keep my sexy car... sexy?

Wow thats a nice car for a 16 year old and its 5speed. Your lucky, if you really want to take care of it than the first thing you need to do is maintenance just like all of us when we get a new car. Check ball joint, tie rods, change oil, clean filter, detail the car. Fix any weird noises, vibrations, and just about anything the car NEEDS. Than you can start with some light mods like a drop on some springs and than maybe a lip kit. Good luck

dont be tempted to start adding aftermarket parts until you have fixed any drivetrain and engine problems it has.
