if they come out with a aluminum block 2JZ-GE and tuned it up a bit to like 260HP that would be awesome because it would be light but still have the HP and torque.

Wouldn't an alluminium block be a bit more fragile?

Hey

For a N/A that would be no problem, for a Turbo engine an Iron block is ideal. Since the IS300 is N/A anyway it wouldn't be a problem. The main reason for going to aluminum for the IS engine is the weight saving, it would help with accel, braking, and handling.

I don't know if anyone here has picked up a complete 2ZJ-GE (or GTE) before but if you have you will know how extremely heavy it is.
